The Dragonflies class at The Meadow plays with loose parts, exploring the various affordances of the myriad of materials and learning to persevere, work as a team, care for one another, and to take and manage healthy risks.

The Wall Street Journal Article, “Are Playgrounds Too Safe?  The Benefits of Risky Play” addresses benefits of risky play, including being
