After all the 100+ heat indices of last week our energy led us to more macro explorations, and aesthetic interests.
Zander was very excited when he figured out how to use rocks and his hands to make flowing “water sculptures”. This interest in water flow lasted an hour or more, as the children explored various mini waterfalls, and used found objects to observe how their speed and directionality was impacted by changes in the waterfall structure.

The cool water play was a big relief. I think that we were still holding on to the heat of last week!
