We spend a lot of time creating with unit blocks. The children often draw plans for their structures, or drawings when they are completed. During our time with blocks we’ve been looking closely at the concept of LINE. Learning how to create straight lines in drawings, can be challenging for some.
Today we had fun exploring LINE in paint with some of Cathy Topal Art Educator Resources ideas about THINKING WITH A LINE. We used corrugated cardboard pieces to create the lines, and then water colors to fill in. We will definitely have the carboard “stamps” around more!
