Try using white sharpie water based paint pens to make charts and word walls on the windows. We made a bird checklist. The children add tally marks with a white board marker for each species that they see. The whiteboard marker will wipe off easily, but the paint pen will stay put until you want it off. Great interactive chart in an inspiring place! Bonus when the sun shines onto a white curtain. The shadow words inspire even the most reluctant reader to play with words.
